Older people living in a Brentford Care Home have benefited from a range of improvements thanks to receiving a slice of a £175,000 grant.
The department of Health grant was split across 16 care homes, with each home receiving a cut relative to how many residents lived there. They included Maryville Care Home in Brentford and St Mary's Convent and Nursing Home in Chiswick.
The Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve is a wild area of woodland, wetland and meadow in the heart of Chiswick run by the London Wildlife Trust. Its six acres are a haven for birds, butterflies, amphibians and wild plants.

Police have addressed the public's concerns about aggressive dogs in St Paul's Rec, as the Chronicle exclusively revealed last week.

Animal welfare chiefs have blasted cruel dog owners who use Brentford's parks to groom their pets for dog fighting.
Dog walkers in St Paul's recreation ground have witnessed young men encouraging their Staffordshire Bull Terriers to attack trees, with some even hung from branches by their mouths to strengthen their jaws for the brutal and illegal 'sport'.

On the west side of Lot's Ait there are two large steel hulls that have been sunk for years. One of them is used mainly as a skip and a wildflowerpot - it's full of foliage and large chunks of metal, including an old mini digger and a large radar that looks straight off the set of a 70s sci-fi series.
The popular TV series Lost is the story of the survivors of a plane crash, struggling to find their footing after being stranded on a Pacific island. In the first series, a mysterious creature is introduced that makes strange noises at night and confuses the survivors, making them scared. Well there's been some weird sounds in the middle of the night on Lot's Ait recently (and, for what it's worth, it's around the full moon!).
A group of residents and traders in Brentford have launched an ambitious bid to relocate and restore a church's memorial to parishioners who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the Great War.
The Brentford High Street Steering Group is holding a major fundraiser to pull in the funds needed to move the monument at St Lawrence's Church to Brentford Library.
