Taking in magnificent Thames views, a man-made river created in Tudor Times; dwellings built in Charles ll's reign, a one time home of landscape painter J M W Turner. And as an added incentive, teas are available at All Saints Church to round off the walk. Cost £2

Brentford to Boston Manor - Heritage Walk - Sunday 5th October
A stroll along the Grand Union Canal, exploring the waterway's 200 years history, ending at the listed Jacobean Boston Manor House, where free tours are available, as are refreshments at the Pavilion Cafe.
