Brentford tops burglary chart

Brentford has been named the 6th most burgled location in the UK.

A survey has revealed that almost five per cent of Brentford households have made a claim for theft or burglary in the last 12 months.

Peter Gerrard head of insurance research at moneysupermarket.com who carried out the survey, said: "Unfortunately I'm not surprised to see several London postcodes in the top 20 when it comes to theft and burglary."

Raymond Randall, 65 of Church Walk in Brentford was outraged with the findings, he said: "It is shocking. Several people have been burgaled on my road before, it's very dissapointing that Brentford is so far up this table.

"I would have thought there are much worse places than Brentford for burgalry. Someone needs to ask questions about this."

Topping the table was Doncaster and Bristol.
