April 2009 Archives
Are you new to the area or looking to make some new friends? If so there is a social group in the area that may be just right for you.
Groups have been established thanks to the Dear Dilys agony column which is published in editions of the Informer newspaper, and they've been going strong for 18 months.
From Stardust to Life continues dance maestro, Chitraleka Bolar's quest of bringing together the expression of science and myth and interpreting them through, Bharatanatyam -- the beautiful Indian classical dance form and contemporary dance styles
In 2004, the Company extended the boundaries of what could be explored through dance when they toured their ecological drama, 'The Story of C'. Now in a year celebrating the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and 150th anniversary of his world changing book, 'The Origin of Species', From Stardust to Life continues the Company's examination of science, our lives and the planet.
See how Darwin's ideas link to 4000 years of Hindu understanding of our origins based on the 'Dashavatara', a mythological study of evolution, charting the ten most famous incarnations of Vishnu, that explain how the Universe came into being.
