A hymn to Lord Ganesh, who enfolds the three worlds within him, son of Lord Mahadeva. His belly is shaped like a universe. He is Gauri's reflection and all obstacles surrender themselves at his feet. Ganeshs' sweet "modak" relieves us from all sufferings and the beautiful balance of creation and destruction is represented by your divine form. To you I offer my "salutation".

THUMARI ON KRISHNA 8 min

It is so melodiously attractive and has magnetic power that all girls leave their household chores, get dressed and go out of house in order to listen to his flute. The second Thumari is a variation of a lyrical song emphasizing Krishna's flute how it can make eveyone fall in love with him. This is followed by few rhythmic patterns in teentaal (16 matras cycle) emphasizing geometrical patterns of whole body movements and beauty of grace in fast tempo and sharp spins that also characterizes one of the integral features of Kathak.
