Blunder is missing - can you help?

Posted by Steve Bax on May 21, 09 01:32 PM in People

Boxer.jpg"Blunder" went missing about 5pm. on Saturday 16 May from her regular walk along the Grand Union canal towpath between Brentford and Hanwell.

She is nearly four but is often mistaken for a puppy. She is very friendly and bouncy, loves human company and is terribly greedy for picnics or fishing bait.

Her owner thinks she may have gone scrounging and someone mistook her for lost and perhaps kindly took her home with them.

She normally finds her own way home, but hasn't turned up either at home or at any of the local dog wardens.

Perhaps readers have seen her or have heard something about what happened to her.

Boxers are rather square-looking, athletic dogs. This one is a medium-sized dog, rather small for a boxer.

Her colour is called "red" (which is really brown) and she has a white chest, some white toes and a black face. She is a healthy weight, which means her ribs are visible. She has a docked tail, about two inches long.

She is further identifiable by a black nylone collar without an identity disc, but she is microchipped in the neck area and can be scanned by any vet.

Some extra detail - She has a lump on each cheek with hair growing from it, which is typical of boxers. She also has a few lumps on her mid-back from scatching where the hair is slightly discoloured. The edges of her ears have small lumps and worn hair. Her right front "wrist" has a two-inch scar from a healed broken leg.

Her loss is registered with Battersea Dogs Home (ref 249326) and with Ealing (456893)and Hounslow (401782)councils.

Her owner can be contacted on 07984 727 495 or 0208 560 8793 or via 0780 1967 606.

We'd like to hear from you.
