Marcus from Brentford enters the Big Brother house

marcus-akin.jpgHairy window fitter Marcus Akin is hoping to win Big Brother for Brentford after becoming a contestant on the reality TV show.

The 35-year-old former pupil of Hounslow Manor School was described by host Davina McCall as looking like Wolverine from the X-Men films, to which he rebutted: "He looks like me."

Viewers saw him enter the famous house on Thursday night, as one of 16 housemates, as the 10th series of the show got underway.

Marcus, describes himself as "fearless and manly" but also a "big kid in a man's body". He said he exaggerates everything to tell a "cool story" and is ready to take on any task or challenge to prove he's 'the man'.

His dream job, he says, would be a porn star or a toy designer. And if he could break the law, he would do a bank job for the "high rock and roll factor".

Marcus is single and lives alone with a Siamese cat which he describes as a "bit of a bastard".

He lists his bad habits as swearing, chewing his nails and arguing and freely admits to using the worst swear words around.

Marcus, who enjoys evening classes, has completed courses in Japanese, interior design, grounds maintenance, health and safety, food safety, first aid, and construction, and is currently doing an IT course.

One of his proudest moments was renovating the windows in Windsor Castle.

We'd like to hear from you.

I became friends with Marcus when we worked together at Hertz car sales in Brentford until the company moved to Wales. The first time I went to his house he showed me an electric guitar he had built. I am an experienced guitarist and Bass player I can safely say that this guitar was of professional quality, only it weighed a tonne. It odd shape was also something to be desired. If Marcus likes something he will always say "It's Top!"
