Anil Desai: Stand Up Chameleon: One man 52 impressions
London born actor, comedian and impressionist Anil Desai (Headcases - ITV, Goodness Gracious Me - BBC2, The Adventures of Tintin - West End & UK Tour) takes his first ever solo show to the Edinburgh fringe festival, and on the way he's been wowing audiences with his unique chameleon like ability to impersonate 52 famous icons from Movies, Music, TV & Politics
Using a celebrity deck of cards to decide the characters and his audience to choose the scenarios, Anil improvises a completely random and comical situation, scene after scene where no-one (not even Anil) knows what's going to happen next. In Stand-Up Chameleon, Anil shatters the old world of impressionists in silly costumes and wigs, but interacts with the audience and improvises with himself, creating a different show every night as the audience decide the fate of over 52 famous faces.
"It's not just clever, but utterly hilarious...one to watch..." Edinburgh Evening News
"...hilarious...caused spontaneous outbreak of applause" BBC Wales
Micky Flanagan
Micky draws on his East End background as he ruthlessly deconstructs the Cockney Myth with razor sharp observational wit. He tells a comic tale of a working class upbringing, where alphabetti spaghetti is a luxury. Micky has come a long way since then. Thanks to a university education he is now a rare delight - an intellectual cockney.
Headline act at The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, The Glee Club, The Monday Club, The Stand and The Boat Show...we are delighted to welcome Micky for the first time to Watermans Theatre with his new performance
MC - Mike Manera
"If most comedians jokes were as funny as Manera's real stories, then the world would be a better place" - The Scotsman
