As part of the build up to the Olympic Year 2012, we will be showcasing 'work -in-progress' artistic projects scheduled as part of the Cultural Olympiad. Artist, Cecile Trijssenaar is creating a video wall installation, The Good Neighbour, that explores how the ethos of the Games is conveyed through the narratives and changing identities of the people from the 204 Olympic participating nations who have made their home in West London.
Constantine Gras is undertaking a three year project connecting the rivers, canals and wetland features of West London's waterways, in Water - Way of Life. The first part -- Tales of River Brent, by Jo Roberts, explores stories generated by artifacts by walks along this river.
Both these projects are commissioned by Western Wedge, a partnership between the seven local authorities in West London, supported by Arts Council England who work together to enable a strategic approach to arts and culture in the sub-region. For more information visit: www.westernwedge.org.uk
