Duke of Edinburgh scheme for bored Brentford youths

Posted by Jessica Thomas on Nov 18, 09 09:00 AM in Clubs/societies

Bored youths who commit crime and engage in anti social behaviour are being encouraged to do something more positive with their time.

Brentford Safer Neighbourhood Team are attempting to divert youngsters away from these activities by starting a Duke of Edinburgh Awards programme in January 2010.

The scheme is in partnership with social inclusion project, Brentford FC Positive Futures, and will be based at Mission Hall Community Centre on the Haverfield Estate, targeting young people aged between 14 and 20.

Further information will be announced in due course.
