£500 Up For Grabs For Hounslow Residents

Posted by Lima Curtis on Apr 23, 12 08:39 AM in Local Authority

Borough bosses are offering £500 to residents who want to throw a party for the diamond jubilee or Olympics.

Hounslow Council has money set aside to help local voluntary and community organisations host such celebrations.

Mimi Konigsberg, Hounslow's director of community services, said the council is particularly keen to support initiatives which get people involved in celebrating the Olympic torch relay, which comes through the borough on July 24.

The deadline for applications is Monday, April 30 and priority will be given to those which promote community cohesion. Email Kate.Lawton@hounslow.gov.uk.
