Isleworth Dad Runs Marathon For Charity Who Helped Son
A Father raised £700 for an autism charity by completing the London Marathon.
Austin McHale of Isleworth completed the grueling race for the National Autistic Society
Mr McHale said: "Our son had a speech delay when he was younger and was diagnosed with autism. For a time we considered sending him to one of the National Austistic Society's schools for children with autism and we contacted the NAS for more information.
"As it turned out, our son had been misdiagnosed but we had had an insight into how hard it can be to look after a child with autism, which is why we support the charity.
"This is my fourth marathon and I'm very happy to have achieved it. My last one was six years ago and I had a target time of five hours, which I beat by about a minute."
